Worker dies after fall from height at Laing O’Rourke site

A man in his forties has died after falling from height at a Laing O’Rourke project in Oxford.

Despite emergency services attending the site at the Oxford North innovation district, the worker died of his injuries at the scene, Thames Valley Police said in a statement.

“Thames Valley Police, along with colleagues from South Central Ambulance Service, were called to an incident at a construction site just off the A40 near Wolvercote at 10.15am yesterday [4 December]. Tragically, a man working at the site has fallen from height and died at the scene of his injuries despite the best efforts of medical professionals.”
