Willmott Dixon has secured BIM Level 2 certification, under the BRE accreditation system, for its construction, residential and interiors businesses.
The company, which worked with BRE to ensure all its processes and procedures align with PAS 1192-2, believes it is the first contractor to achieve the rating across all its group operations.
Willmott Dixon said it will provide a dedicated BIM manager for a “soft take-off” on projects where clients opt to use the technology. To embed the process further in the supply chain, the company will roll out a national supply chain BIM initiative that will enable hundreds of SMEs to be conversant with the technology.
