Willmott Dixon has entered a three-year strategic partnership with the UK Innovation Corridor (UKIC), a science and technology region between London and Cambridge which includes international businesses, academia and start-ups.

The Hitchin-based construction company will sit on the UKIC board alongside the 15 local authorities and six universities currently represented. The aim is to increase collaboration between the public and private sectors and drive innovation, growth and cohesion across the region.

The announcement coincided with the publication of the UKIC Growth Plan, which forecasts that the region is on course to almost double the size of its economy – from £189bn to £350bn by 2050.
