Willmott Dixon is undertaking a major window replacement project at Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham to improve energy efficiency and reduce its carbon footprint.
The new windows will cover more than 18,000 sq m and will be installed in all the hospital’s four main blocks. The existing windows have been in place since the hospital opened in 1977.
Willmott Dixon has already replaced more than two miles of windows with modern frames made from 80% recycled aluminium. The double-glazed replacements will improve air tightness and heat retention.
