William Baker-Jones returns to Kier

William Baker-Jones on stage at Digital Construction Week

William Baker-Jones has returned to Kier as digital construction lead for its Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks division (NRNN).

Baker-Jones worked at Babcock International for the past four years, where he rose from project BIM lead/principal BIM and digital engineer to deputy head of BIM and digital engineering.

The NRNN division’s work at Kier is typically long-term projects with staff allocated to those projects. Thus, as Baker-Jones explained, he won’t have a team reporting to him directly, but will be responsible for ensuring consistency of digital delivery across the projects. “My role is to oversee the consistency across the business, so that we can take lessons learned from, say, Hinckley or Thames Water, and cascade that across the business,” he told BIMplus.
