Warning issued over use of AI to comply with lifting regs

Construction companies have been warned about using guidance generated by artificial intelligence (AI) to comply with lifting and work equipment regulations.

The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) govern safe lifting and machinery operations.

But accreditation organisation Consolidated Fork Truck Services (CFTS) warned against relying on answers about the regulations generated by AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot.
