Health and safety charity London Hazards Centre, the Construction Safety Campaign and trade union activists held a vigil on Friday (31 May) at a Berkeley Group’s St George site in north London where a construction worker was killed.
A St George spokesperson told CM that the victim was working for a subcontractor undertaking roadworks when the accident happened.
The spokesperson said: “A fatal accident occurred outside our site on 24 May. Staff onsite rushed to help the victim, but were unable to do so. Our deepest condolences go to the victim’s family and friends. We are assisting the police with their enquiries into the accident.”
