Offsite specialist McAvoy Group has built a two-storey community centre near Croydon to a BREEAM Excellent rating in 30 weeks.

The new building in New Addington replaced the old Fieldway Family Centre and Timebridge Centre to create a new hub with access to education, health, career and social support.

The building features rooftop PV panels, electric car charging points, and changing/shower facilities.

It was designed using BIM modelling and constructed from 36 modules, which were craned into place on-site, arriving with fixtures and fittings already in place, including internal walls and plastering, doors, windows and ironmongery, plus plumbing, electrics and joinery.
