Sir Robert McAlpine has passed the two-and-a-half-year mark in the construction programme for 1 Broadgate in the City of London.
The 50,000 sq m office and retail scheme is intended to be developer British Land’s most energy-efficient building to date and will target the WELL Platinum rating.
McAlpine started the main build contract in February 2022 after being awarded the demolition and enabling works contract a year before. Its project team has completed construction of the slipform core and begun erecting the steel frame.
