Balfour Beatty is using 70,000 tonnes of aggregate to build a £25m coastal defence along the shorelines of Cromer and Mundesley in Norfolk.
Aggregate Industries has supplied rock armour sourced from Glensanda quarry in Scotland, including a mix of large stones ranging from 3-6 tonnes, 300kg to 1 tonne and 15-30kg, to protect the vulnerable sandy cliffs from the North Sea.
The project is expected to last between 12 and 18 months.
