The transformation of the historic Brabazon Hangars into the 20,000-capacity YTL Arena in Bristol is ramping up.

Major demolition has now been completed ahead of the start of the main construction phase at the site, which is known as the birthplace of Concorde.

The central hangar has been stripped back to its original 1940s steel frame, and the Esavian sliding hangar doors have been removed.

Preparations are also underway to remove seven major structural trusses and the existing roof to enable the construction of the new seating bowl.
