The 305m-high 1 Undershaft Tower (above) will become the City of London’s tallest building after it was given formal planning consent, three years after it was approved by the City of London’s planning and transportation committee.
The Eric Parry-designed tower is the latest in a series of skyscrapers planned for the capital.
Among other high-profile projects are:
The 203m-tall 6-8 Bishopsgate, where contractor Lendlease has already started work
The 249m-high 100 Leadenhall Street designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, due to be completed in 2026

A 163m-tall tower designed by PLP Architecture which will form part of Native Land’s £1bn Bankside Yards development near Blackfriars Bridge
