Two boys aged 11 and 13 have been arrested on suspicion of arson following a fire at a construction site in Southampton on Tuesday.
The fire that engulfed a timber-framed building under construction on St Mary’s Street on 26 March required 70 firefighters to bring it under control.
Yesterday, Hampshire Constabulary revealed that it had arrested to two boys, both from Southampton, who remain in police custody.
Police previously released an image of three people seen on the roof of the building prior to the fire starting. “These people have since been identified and have been eliminated from the investigation,” a statement from Hampshire Constabulary said.
