
Head injuries on construction sites could be dramatically reduced by using a translucent hard hat, according to workwear company Portwest.
The Irish firm has launched a see-through version of the traditional hard hat which they claim will give workers improved visibility and better peripheral vision, reports CM’s sister site Global Construction Review.
Portwest says its PV50 Peakview Translucent Vented Hard Hat allows the wearer to “see from any angle without excessive head tilting or turning the hat back-to front”.
