Man United ‘world-class’ stadium plans move forward

Manchester United is working with Trafford Council and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority to ensure that plans for a new “world-class” stadium benefit local areas.

The football club entered a strategic partnership with the local authorities to be led by an independent director to ensure that the Trafford Wharfside regeneration plans – which include up to 5,000 new homes – align with the work of the Old Trafford Regeneration Task Force.

The task force was set up in March to explore options for a new or redeveloped stadium at the home of Manchester United.
