A pedestrian has been killed after he was struck by a window in its frame that fell from the penthouse apartment of a recently completed London residential tower.
The window and its frame fell from the Corniche building in Vauxhall.
The man, reportedly a 53-year-old coach driver, had left his coach and was crossing the road to go to a shop when the accident happened.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is now investigating.
Designed by Foster + Partners, and developed by Berkeley Group subsidiary St James, the Corniche was completed in summer last year. properties at the Corniche are priced between £2.7m and £6.25m.
