London contractors warned of upcoming generator emissions rules

Industrial energy supplier Aggreko is warning London contractors about stricter requirements for generator emissions coming into force on 1 January 2025.

From that date, all non-road mobile machinery (NRMM) on sites within Greater London will need to meet stage IV as a minimum. Generators will continue to be required to meet stage V.

Stage IV emission standards limit the amount of pollutants that can be emitted by NRMM. Stage V also limits the number of particles emitted through a particular filter.
