Local Authority Building Control (LABC) has partnered with the CIOB in launching the UK’s first building control surveyor qualifications.
The four qualifications, also developed with the University of Wolverhampton, have been created as a result of LABCs commitment to demonstrating competencies, raising building control standards, ensuring public protection and addressing the growing skills shortages faced by the construction industry and in particular within Building Control.
The qualifications cover building pathology, the statutory framework, Building Regulations, building design and plan evaluation, construction products and technology, project management, the commercial environment, health & safety and sustainable construction.
