
Heathrow has appointed Kier’s FM arm, Kier Places, to install noise insulation measures in about 20,000 homes around the airport’s residential areas.
The residential insulation scheme is part of Heathrow’s Quieter Neighbourhood Support eight-year programme to reduce the noise impact generated by aircraft traffic.
The scheme, fully funded by Heathrow subject to eligibility, covers the supply and installation of replacement windows, secondary glazing and doors, new ventilation, loft insulation and ceiling upgrades.
