Kier has finished installing a 23m bridge consisting of steel Vierendeel girders and a deck at Dover Grammar School for Boys (DGSB).
The bridge links the second-floor reception area with the landscaped entrance plaza.
Located on a prominent hilltop site, DGSB was built in the early 1930s. Considered at the end of its design life and no longer fit for modern curriculum delivery, funding was allocated under the Department for Education’s Priority School Building Programme 2 to rebuild the school.
