JCB is to create 500 new shop floor jobs as its chief executive remarked that the company had "never seen anything like" the level of demand it is currently experiencing.
The firm will add the additional agency employees to its 11 plants in Staffordshire, Derbyshire and Wrexham, in addition to the 850 shop floor jobs it has already created in 2021.
The company is also offering an additional 300 agency employees permanent JCB contracts, which will bring the total number of agency shop floor employees given permanent jobs this year to 1,000.
