In pictures: Manchester United’s new ‘world’s best stadium’

Manchester United has released sophisticated computer-generated images showing how its planned £2bn 100,000-seat stadium in the Old Trafford area of the city would look.

The stadium is part of a wider regeneration project which the club says could deliver £7.3bn a year to the UK economy.

The CGIs have been created by Foster and Partners, the architect appointed to design the stadium district.
