A 12m-long generator stator arrived yesterday (17 November) at Hinkley Point C after completing a road, rail and sea journey from Belfort, France.

The 450-tonne turbine generator stator is the largest ever constructed by Arabelle Solutions, a French multinational specialising in nuclear activities.

EDF said the stator will generate enough low-carbon electricity for three million homes.
