A pier built offsite in Holland is set to become London’s longest after it is installed at the Royal Wharf development in Greenwich.
The canting brow for the Royal Wharf Pier arrived in the capital yesterday, carried on a 65m x 60m vessel, while the pontoon was transported by the Mts Viscount tug along the river Thames.
Constructed offsite in Holland, the pier travelled over 300 miles across the North Sea to London, where it will become the newest stop on the Thames Clippers service.
