The judges said: “The winner’s articles covered a pleasing range of topics and styles, finding a fresh angle on three topics of the day: technology, decarbonisation and safety. All three pieces were big on human interest, exemplifying that construction is about people as much as it is about buildings – and perfectly tailored for their readership.”
“I’m obviously delighted to win the award personally, but this is for everyone on the team at Construction Management, the Chartered Institute of Building and Atom Publishing,” Mann said.
Caroline Gumble, CEO of the CIOB, said: “Congratulations to Will on winning the prestigious IBP Construction/Infrastructure Journalist of the Year award, which is greatly deserved. Construction Management is an excellent and informative magazine which is why it is consistently voted the number one member benefit by the CIOB membership.”
The awards recognise the best journalism in the property and construction sector and have become a benchmark for excellence. They are judged by a panel of influential journalists and industry professionals from the built environment.
The November/December 2025 issue of Construction Management magazine is now available to read in digital format.
