HP flatness measuring and raster drawing tools improve workflows
Justin Stanton Editor, CM Digital
HP Construction Services has introduced a series of products to address “fundamental challenges” in flatness measuring and raster drawing conversion.
The ‘flatness measurement service’ measures floor elevation and flatness on site in real-time. This data is usually crunched in the back office, but this service combines four manual steps into one, saving time.
The service is expected to be available from next month and is an add-on for the HP SitePrint, which launched in the UK two years ago.

Also unveiled is ‘AI vectorisation’ in the HP Build Workspace, which converts raster drawings into CAD-editable files. HP said the process saves 80% of the time it would take to convert them, saving hours for architects and engineers.
The process makes it easy to include legacy drawings from the start, building from richer detail and aiding accuracy and efficiency.
Expected to be available in the UK, Germany, and North America, in May 2025, HP said the vectorisation tool can save hours each week in preparing field reports, and help connect and share information across stakeholder groups.
HP Construction Services director, Xavier Juarez, described the products as a “breakthrough” with the “potential to completely transform” the way AEC professionals work.
Juarez added: “With a focus on automation, communication and collaboration, HP is delivering the tools that tackle fundamental challenges in productivity that have inherently plagued the industry.”
Print products
HP also revealed its Latex R530 printer, available globally later this month, that can easily switch between rigid and flexible printing. The HP PrintOS Production Hub, meanwhile, available from next month, brings order management and remote production control into one integrated hub.
The November/December 2025 issue of Construction Management magazine is now available to read in digital format.
Powered Access
CM, in partnership with IPAF, has launched a new survey to explore the industry’s views and experiences with powered access machines on construction projects.
