Former Carillion chief executive Richard Howson has moved back into his previous role of chief operating officer while he completes a year’s transitionary period before leaving the company.
Howson, who stepped down with immediate effect as chief executive of the construction and facilities management group after a profit warning last month, is now responsible for operations, health & safety and sustainability programmes, according to Carillion’s website.
Howson had previously held the chief operating officer role between September 2010 and December 2011, before becoming group chief executive.
