Planners have given the green light for a triple-tower student accommodation complex in London’s Canary Wharf, which its developers claim will be the largest Passivhaus development in Europe.
The scheme for student accommodation provider Urbanest, designed by architect Apt, will see the construction of three 28-, 36- and 46-storey towers offering 1,672 student beds and 80 residential apartments.
The development will be located at the vacant 2 Trafalgar Way site at the edge of Canary Wharf and the proposals have been supported by University College London.
