The ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has endorsed a provisional concept design for a “vertiport” in the emirate created by UK headquartered architect Foster + Partners.

Vertiports are airports for electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles (eVTOLs).

The conceptual facility would be located next to Dubai International Airport and integrated with the metro network.
