
The ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has endorsed a provisional concept design for a “vertiport” in the emirate created by UK headquartered architect Foster + Partners.
Vertiports are airports for electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles (eVTOLs).
The conceptual facility would be located next to Dubai International Airport and integrated with the metro network.

It is one of four sites being considered for a vertiport by Skyports Infrastructure and Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority.
