The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) has hailed a “fantastic opportunity” for one young construction professional (aged 18-35) to co-chair a Construction Leadership Council (CLC) event at the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP26 in Glasgow next month.
Calling on CIOB Tomorrow’s Leaders to apply, the Institute said the event, in the COP26 Green Zone, will discuss construction’s global role in collectively reducing its carbon emissions and achieving net zero by 2035.
The person chosen to co-chair the event will have the chance to talk about their personal experience, as well as any barriers and opportunities they see, and be part of a broad menu of speakers including the prime minister’s net zero business champion, Andrew Griffith MP.
