Esther McVey
Esther McVey has been appointed as the new minister of state for housing, as part of prime minister Boris Johnson’s ministerial reshuffle.
Former GMTV presenter McVey, who replaces Kit Malthouse, will support new housing secretary Robert Jenrick at the Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) on issues including housing supply policy and building safety and regulations.
She was previously minister of state for work and pensions from January to November 2018.
