Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) has appointed Carolyn Uphill as the new chair of its board.
She has 30 years’ experience owning and managing an equipment manufacturing and plant hire company and her most recent role was a chair of the National Landlords Association.
Uphill will succeed current CSCS chairman Michael Clapham, who retires after six years in the position.
She said: “I am looking forward to leading the CSCS board during this exciting time for the construction industry. CSCS is playing a pivotal role in leading the industry towards a fully trained and qualified workforce and the board is going to be instrumental in achieving this.
