The London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham has pulled the procurement of £75m worth of remedial works to buildings in the area, after it identified “flaws” in the tender documents.
The local authority had been seeking a borough-wide contractor to undertake remedial and ad-hoc construction work, including to some “complex, high-value voids” which it said was likely to involve fire doors, firefighting equipment including risers, sprinklers, smoke control systems and external façade remediation.
Invitations to tender for the five-year deal were due to be sent out on 16 March this year.
