CITB-ConstructionSkills has announced changes to the Training Grant Scheme for 2011-12 which widen the scope for claiming grants but will impose a more structured approach to employer training, explains Tony Wilson, MD of Helsman Services, a specialist construction training provider.
Helman explains: “The changes reflect a budget surplus at CITB/CS, plus a more forward-thinking approach to modern methods of training, explains construction training specialist.
Key changes are more days that can be claimed for direct employees, and alterations in the way that Labour Only Sub-Contractors are claimed for.
