CIOB enters apprenticeships market in England

The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) is to enter the apprenticeship market in England by applying to be an assessment organisation on the register of end-point assessment organisations (EPAOs).

The move comes amid apprenticeship reforms in England that mean all apprentices now have to complete an end-point assessment (EPA) to complete their apprenticeship, instead of being assessed continually throughout the apprenticeship.

The EPA is designed to test whether each apprentice has gained the knowledge, skills and behaviours outlined in the standard and grade each apprentice according to their performance.
