BSI report outlines quality standard’s role in meeting BSA requirements

For example, it sets out how BS 99001 helps implement the golden thread through clauses included in the standard, such as documented information, design and development, and release of products and services.

Although BSI makes clear that implementing BS 99001 does not automatically ensure
legal compliance with the BSA, it said it provides organisations with “a strong framework” to demonstrate they are meeting their statutory obligations.

The white paper also offers examples of major contractors that have already achieved BS 99001 certification, including VolkerWessels, Morgan Sindall Construction and Laing O’Rourke.
