BSI report outlines quality standard’s role in meeting BSA requirements

The British Standards Institution (BSI) has published a white paper outlining how BS 99001 can help built environment professionals meet their legal duties under the Building Safety Act 2022 (BSA).

Launched in July 2022, BS 99001 expands on ISO 9001 to provide a sector-specific quality management system for areas such as competence, design quality and temporary works.

BSI’s new report, BS 99001 and the UK Building Safety Act: A framework for quality and compliance in the built environment, explains how BS 99001 aligns with the Building Safety Act and provides guidance to help the industry implement the legislation’s requirements.
