Bricklaying robot contracted to build eight homes

A robotics company that has developed a bricklaying robot has signed a contract to deliver structural building works for eight two-storey townhouses using its technology.

Australian firm FBR (formerly known as Fastbrick Robotics) will build the homes using its Hadrian X construction robot in the Western Australian town of St James, according to Global Construction Review.

FBR’s scope of work includes the construction of the ground storey, second-floor slab, footings, structural walls and roof trusses.
