Balfour Beatty to build new bridge over River Trent

Feasibility studies have been completed ahead of the planning application submission in summer.

Nottingham City Council has appointed Balfour Beatty to build a pedestrian and cycle crossing in Nottingham.

It will connect the Lady Bay area south of the river with the Trent Basin waterside housing estate near Colwick.

The council hopes the crossing will ease congestion by providing an alternative route to commuters and improve access to green spaces in the city.
