Balfour Beatty will carry out the project in collaboration with infrastructure consultancy Pick Everard. The consultant will deliver project management and quantity surveying services through the SCAPE Consultancy Framework.
Nottingham council announced in 2021 that it had secured more than £9m in government funding through the Transforming Cities programme to cover the costs of the entire project.
However, in April 2022 it said that there had been delays in submitting the planning application. The council will now submit the application in early summer, according to a statement.
