Contractor Ardmore has been awarded a contract to restore and convert the Old War Office site in London’s Whitehall into a 125-bedroom Raffles hotel and 85 luxury homes.
The Hinduja group and Spanish developer Obrascón Huarte Lain Desarrollos acquired the Grade II-listed former Ministry of Defence building in 2016.
The building was completed in 1906, having served as the office of political and military leaders including Winston Churchill, David Lloyd George, Lord Kitchener and Herbert Asquith.
