The spotlight fell on the best of digital construction yesterday when the winners were announced in the first BIM Awards, at BIM Show Live in Newcastle.
Among the personal winner categories David Philp, Aecom’s global BIM director and member of the Digital Built Britain team and regular BIM+ contributor, was presented with the Digital Construction Legend award
Willmott Dixon Interiors – whose work includes the pioneering use of BIM and VR for the fit-out of 39 Victoria Street, London for the Department of Health – was named best Contractor, while the Architect category was won by Space Architects.
