The updated HP SitePrint robot is now fully available in the UK and Ireland after a successful launch.
HP describes SitePrint as light and compact. It comes with a touch-screen tablet for remote control and configuration. The positioning and navigation of HP SitePrint on the job site are achieved by linking to a robotic total station.

Since its unveiling last summer, HP has enhanced the robot following tests with contractors. The likes of John Sisk and the Vinci Building/Sir Robert McAlpine joint venture have tested the robot in the UK.
The robot is now fully commercially available in the UK and Ireland, complete with a number of updates.
Updates and improvements
These include improved obstacle avoidance sensors to increase its on-site autonomy.
There is now a range of eight different interchangeable inks, including three colours (cyan, magenta and black), different compositions that work both on porous and water-proof surfaces, as well as the choice of either permanent or semi-permanent durability. Inks are now delivered via cartridges (the prototypes featured an inkwell).
SitePrint also now connects with more robotic total stations: Leica’s TS16 and iCR80; Trimble’s RTS573; and Topcon’s LN-150.
The robotic total station set-up process has been integrated into the tablet-operated SitePrint user interface, reducing how long it takes to start a job.
And cloud functionalities have been expanded, allowing users to manage the entire layout workflow remotely, log support requests, and share CAD documents from design office to job site.
