Improvements to the user experience are said to make Tekla Structures 2023 easier to learn and use. In rebar detailing, complex bar shape designs are claimed to be easier to share. Customers in steel fabrication benefit from greater flexibility by being able to cover more detailing options related to bolts and holes for specialised industries, according to Trimble.
The software also features updated outputs and exports in the field of detailing for fabrication of multiple project and materials types.
Via Tekla Structural Designer 2023, users can now “effortlessly” run multiple footfall scenarios in a single model.

Tekla Structural Designer 2023 also offers:
- strengthened design-to-detail workflow with Tekla Structures;
- improved workflows for timber design using Tekla Tedds;
- enhanced link to connection design software, including IDEA StatiCa software; and
- a new integrator for Autodesk Revit 2023 users.
Tekla Tedds 2023 now offers “seamless integration of structural design information and documentation with Tekla Structures, to improve collaborative design-to-detailing workflows”, according to Trimble. Particularly for steel connection design, the improved integration with Tekla Structures means Tedds calculations can now link to Tekla Structures components.
Furthermore, the Tekla Tedds calculations help support multi-material design in Tekla Structural Designer with a specific focus on timber/wood design. The latest version also includes new and updated calculations for faster, more reliable structural element design, according to Trimble.
Tekla PowerFab
In Tekla PowerFab 2023, subscribers can gain access to the visual production dashboards and a shipping calendar. To support sustainable material sourcing, Tekla PowerFab now features improvements for tracking the origin of raw materials.
