The Woodland to Workshop course aims to raise awareness of sustainable timber practices by educating participants from the forest through to the workshop
The New Model Institute for Technology and Engineering (NMITE) is partnering charity Woodland Heritage to deliver an interactive three-day course.
The Woodland to Workshop course will introduce participants to the entire process of the timber industry, from forestry management through sawmilling and timber drying, to the end user in the workshop.
The course, which will be held from 24 to 26 September, is supported by practitioners from the forestry and timber industries. Sessions will be based at the Duchy of Cornwall’s woodland, Whitney Sawmills, and the NMITE facility in Hereford.
