The new programme gives young people access to free, industry-accredited sustainability training – delivered directly through the Supply Chain Sustainability School’s digital platform.
The collaboration supports the creation of BE Sustainable after-school clubs in secondary schools across the UK.
These clubs will use the digital platform to help students build knowledge in sustainability, climate action, and emerging career opportunities in the built environment.

Ian Heptonstall, co-founder and director of Supply Chain Sustainability School, said: “Our platform has helped thousands of professionals across the supply chain upskill in sustainability.

The initiative aligns with national requirements for schools to develop Carbon Action Plans, and complements the growing number of student-led climate and net zero clubs.
BE Sustainable clubs aim to provide a structured and practical way for schools to engage students with these efforts.
Using the platform, students can explore real-world sustainability challenges and solutions, supported by resources developed by industry professionals.
They will also gain insight into the types of careers available in the built environment, especially in areas where there is a growing skills shortage, such as digital construction, low-carbon design, and environmental management.
