Pointfuse offers laser scanning for space utilisation and FM

Pointfuse, the 3D modelling engine company, has launched a toolkit that makes it easier to adopt laser scanning within space management, planning and utilisation workflows.

Pointfuse Space Creator automates the conversion of features such as walls, doors and windows to BIM LOD 200, and is compatible with the latest mobile mapping systems that are increasingly being used for as-built and as-used surveys within the facilities management sector.

Pointfuse delivers an automatic, precise and flexible way of converting the vast point cloud datasets generated by laser scanners or photogrammetry into segmented mesh models. With the launch of Space Creator, Pointfuse can now realise real-time records for space utilisation and optimisation projects by deskilling and streamlining workflows, thus reducing project costs.
