Flatness Check generates an augmented reality heat map of a concrete floor. Different colours correspond to specific floor flatness and floor level deviations.

Fixing deviations
The app thus also enables foremen to identify out-of-tolerance areas within minutes. These deviations can be fixed while the concrete is still wet, meaning less rework.
“The ability to scan, analyse, and view a floor analysis on the site in augmented reality is a complete game-changer,” said Ben Stocker, a construction echnologist with Skender, a Chicago-based contractor. “It’s a much more immersive experience to all parties consuming the data.”
