Mental health charter launched for construction industry

A new mental health support framework has been launched by charity Mindflow.

The framework, known as the Mindflow Mental Health Charter, introduces an actionable and measurable standard for mental health provision on construction sites.

By registering, companies commit to 10 principles:

  1. A written mental health and wellbeing policy
  2. Clear ownership and governance
  3. Equal access to mental health support
  4. Psychological safety management
  5. Leadership training and support 
  6. Team awareness and education
  7. Conflict resolution and fair practices
  8. Measurable positive impact
  9. Communication and stakeholder engagement
  10. Engagement with preventive services.
