An ISG assistant construction manager aims to raise £500,000 for charity by running 1,400km from John O’Groats to Land’s End.

The feat of endurance, which starts from John O'Groats on 5 September, is equivalent to running two marathons a day for 18 days.

Ben Banaghan, who is assistant construction manager on ISG’s Waterloo retail project, is raising money for Join Our Boys, a trust raising awareness of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Banaghan said he started running and ultra-running during the covid-19 pandemic. He ran to support his own mental health and mental resilience.
