Undergraduates from 12 universities will gain experience supporting construction of the high-speed railway project
The scheme provides work experience in specialist subject areas and is being delivered by Balfour Beatty Vinci (BBV), HS2’s construction partner for the West Midlands.
Now in its third year, the 2024 programme includes a series of placement opportunities at BBV construction sites and offices across south Staffordshire, Birmingham and Warwickshire.

Places have been secured by undergraduate students who live or study in the West Midlands.
Candidates are currently studying a broad range of subjects, including civil engineering, quantity surveying, design engineering, finance, IT and environmental sustainability.
