Career opportunities across the HS2 project are helping to boost local employment in the West Midlands.

Latest figures show that HS2’s Midlands-based construction partner Balfour Beatty Vinci (BBV) has welcomed 69 new recruits in the last three months. This figure is expected to rise in the coming weeks as more candidates join the project.

In total, 12,535 local residents are now employed on the infrastructure programme – representing more than a third of HS2’s 34,000-strong workforce.
